Forgiveness is EVERTHING!
"Then Yahuah said, "Because these people approach me with empty words, and the honor they bestow on me is mere lip-service; while in fact they have distanced their hearts from me, and their 'fear of me' is just a mitzvah of human origins." (Yashayahu 29:13)
The Unforgiving Servant
"Then Kepha came up and said to him, "Master, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?" Yahushua said to him, "I do not say to you up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven." Because of this, the Reign of the Heavens is like a certain man, a sovereign who wished to settle accounts with his servants. And when he begun to settle, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents, but he was unable to pay, his master commanded that he be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and payment to be made. Then the servant fell down before him, saying, "Master, have patience with me, and I shall pay you all." And the master of that servant was moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt. And the servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundrend pieces of money. And he laid hands on him and took him by the throat, saying, "Pay me what you owe!" Then his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him saying, "Have patience with me, and I shall pay you all." But he would not, and went and threw him into prison till he should pay the debt. "And when his fellow servants saw what had been done, they were deeply grieved, and came and reported to their master all that had taken place. "Then his master called him and said to him, "Wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt seeing you begged me. "Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, as I also had compassion on you?" And his master was wroth, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him. "So also My heavenly Father shall do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses." (Mattithyahu 18:21-35)
Ponder on those verses beloved ones! Can you image such a thing? Here one was forgiven much, yet he could not forgive the one who owed him a little. This is unbelievable! Sadly, the unforgiving servant remains today. WE all need to understand that Abba will treat the one who does not forgive their brother or sister from their heart harshly.
If you, having been forgiven much hold onto the unforgiving spirit, then your outcome will be the same! Not only will you owe your debt but you will have to carry it as well.
It has been written, "By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established." (Duet. 17:6). The Messiah, Yahushua kept this same concept in the model prayer, "And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into trial, but deliver us from the wicked one-becasue Yours is the reign and the power and the esteems, forever. Amein, For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father shall also forgive you. "But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither shall your Father forgive your trespasses. " (Matt. 8:12-15)
You see beloved ones, if you forgive others their offenses, Abba will also forgive you; but if you do not forgive others their offenses, then Abba will not forgive yours. What is interesting is that 'evil' and 'unforgivenss' are linked in those four verses.
How important is forgiving to Yahuah? To find the answer turn to Exodus 34:7, "watching over kindness for thousands, forgiving crookedness and transgression and sin, "This forgiving and restoring is actually a personality characteristic of Yahuah. Beloved ones, do you know what will happen if you hold onto an unforgiving heart? After taking root, deep inside the being, it slowly begins to eat. If kept fed, the unforgiving heart will eventually be consumed. What will soon emerge in the flesh will be sickness! You see, holding it all in keeps the person sick.
"Blessed is he whose transgression is forgive, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom Yahuah imputes no crookedness, And in whose spirit there is no deceit. When I kept silent, my bones became old through my groaning all the day. For day and night, Your hand was heavy upon me; My sap was turned into the droughts of summer. Selah. I acknowledge my sin to You , And my crookedness I did not hide. I have said, "I confess my transgressions to Yahuah," And You forgave the crookedness of my sin. Selah." (Psalm 32:1-5)
Our secretes can keep us sick. Resentment can be our number one enemy. Unforgiveness cuts us off from the "Spirit of Yahuah." Eighty-percent of problems many of us face are caused by the hatred and resentment that we choose to hang on to.
"Out of the depths I cried to You, O Yahuah. O Yahuah, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive to the voice of my prayers. O Yah, if You should watch crookednesses, O Yahuah, who would stand? But with You there is forgiveness, that You might be feared. I looked Yahuah, My being has looked, And for His Word I have waited. My being looks to Yahuah. More than those watching for morning, watching for morning. O Yisra'el, wait for Yahuah; for with Yahuah there is kindess. And with Him is much redemption. For He shall redeem Yisra'el From all his crookednesses." (Psalm 130)
Praise be to Yahuah! Who is keeping score? Are you? If so you need to check out what 1 Cor. 13:5 reveals, "...it keeps no record of wrongs." That is the love Eloah has for each of us!
"And entering into a boat, He passed over, and came to His own city. And see, they were bringing to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. And Yahushua, seeing their belief, said to the paralytic, "Take courage, son, your sins have been forgiven." And see, some of the scribes said to themselves, "This One blasphemes!" And Yahushua, knowing their thoughts, said, "Why do you think wicked thoughts in your hearts? For which is easier, to say, 'Your sins have been forgiven,' or to say, 'Arise and walk'? But in order for you to know that the Son of Adam possesses authority on earth to forgive sins..." He then said to the paralytic, "Rise, take up your bed, and go to your house." And he rose and went to his house. And when the crowds saw it, they marvelled and praised Elohim who had given such authority to men." (Matt. 9:1-8)
According to those verses, the man's healing cannot be complete in the body until his sins have been forgiven. Could that be why some members of the body of Messiah suffer? May we all seek Yahuah, asking Him to reveal if we have any slivers of resentment, bitterness and unforgiveness deep within us. Since we are now the living temple of Eloah, let us therefore purge out the unforgiving spirit from among us.
Why did Yahushua have to die? "For this is My blood, that of the renewed covenant, which is shed for many for the forgiveness of sins. (Matt. 326:28)
As the Messiah, Yahushua hung on the tree, death soon to overcome him, His last words were, "Abba, forgive them, they don't understand what they are doing." (Luke 23:34)
The whole Bride has been given a ministry. "And all matters are from Elohim, who has restored us to favour with Himself through Yahushua Messiah, and has given us the service of restoration to favour, that is, that Elohim was in Messiah restoring the world to favour unto Himself, not reckoning their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of restoration to favour." ( 2 Corinthians 5:18-19)
Here are our Marching Orders. "Let no corrupt word come out of your mouth, but only such as is good for the use of building up, so as to impart what is pleasant to the hearers. And do not grieve the Set-apart Spirit of Elohim, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and displeasure, and uproar, and slander be put away from you, along with all evil. And be kind towards one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as Elohim also forgave you in Messiah." (Ephesians 4:29-32)
Now is the time for the Bride to put this into action! Remember we are told, "Do not judge, lest you be judged. For with what judgment you judge, you shall be judged. And with the same measure you use, it shall be measured to you. And why do you look at the splinter in your brother's eye, but do not notice the plank in your own eye? Or how is it that you say to your brother, 'Let me remove the splinter out of your eye,' and see, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you shall see clearly to remove the splinter out your brother's of eye." (Matt. 7:1-5)
Let us not forget the following, "Therefore, as chosen ones of Elohim, set-apart and beloved, put on compassion, kindess, humbleness of mind, meekness, patience, bearing with one another, and forgiving each other if anyone has complaint again another, indeed, as Messiah forgave you so also should you." (Colossians 3:12-13)
So let the Bride pray to Abba! Thanking Yahuah and praising Him for His ultimate gift to us-That gift is FORGIVENESS. Let the whole house of Yisra'el understand that forgiveness is making a decision to forgive and then proclaiming it. All believers must realize that when we forgive someone, what we are actually doing is Clearing His/Her record with us and transferring the responsibility for any punishment to Eloah. Forgiveness is an act of the will, not an emotion. All anger, resentment and bitterness are born of hate. We know hate is not from Yahuah nor it is of the Ruach Ha Qodesh.
May the Mighty One of Yisra'el remove all bitter attitudes that are kept alive by our unwillingness to forgive from the heart.
As choas is being unleashed on mankind, all Followers of Yah must have a forgiving heart! Soon the Great Distress will be upon the children of Yisra'el. Many hearts will wax cold because lawlessness will run rampant. Therefore, because of this lawlessness in others, many of us will have to endure horrible things.
The Dragon will wage war against those qodesh ones who keep the Commandments of Eloah and have the testimony of Yahushua Ha Mashiach.
Whatever our outcome shall be...
WE MUST FORGIVE!
